About Us

Wakefield Triathlon Club (“WTC”) is a club striving to encourage as many people as possible, particularly novices, to take up the sport of Triathlon.

We pride ourselves on welcoming newcomers to the sport regardless of their sporting credentials or the level of achievement to which they aspire. We see triathlon as three sports in one allowing individuals to take part in varied training routines, reducing the probability of injury and stimulating ongoing interest in the sport.

As well as regular training sessions and competitive events (enjoyable for the slower, less athletic as well as the finely honed elite) , the club has a strong social side with regular social events organised to make sure there’s plenty of time to get to know your fellow club members a bit better.

Joining the club costs a fraction of what it costs to join a gym and there is a much stronger likelihood that you’ll be back for more! Hope to see you soon.

What will Wakefield Triathlon Club do for me?

Why join a Triathlon club? Why Wakefield? How can I achieve my goals? All the questions you were afraid to ask are answered on the Why Join Wakey? page.
