The sessions are suitable for all abilities. And we ensure that even the best swimmers continue to work on their technique We swim in like-ability lanes.
The Monday session follows the same broad format as Sunday and Wednesday sessions but with a greater focus on technique and coaching for beginners, whilst still supporting more experienced swimmers to develop both technique and endurance.
The content of each session is different but the format is fairly consistent (unless we have a silly Christmas session); it’s:
“Drills” – exercises that focus on a specific aspect of technique
“Work” – the largest segment of the session, where you work on stamina and speed and apply the technique work, in sets that can differ in distance and pace.
“Cool down/Contrast” – a short gentle wind-down with a variety of formats (not always too serious).
