Winter Series 2021/2022 - Event No.17 - Bike Eliminator Race 2 - RESULTS!

Although the conditions were a little raw it was another great evening at BKCAT yesterday for the second Bike Eliminator (Race 2). Firstly, a big thanks to Andy Blanshard, Rachel Lodge, Rachel Crawshaw, Helen Smale and Stephen Crawshaw for organising and marshalling the event.

It was a fantastic race to observe and hats off to all the competitors for taking part. Mick & Angie Hannon-Flaherty set the early pace to stretch the field. The racing was close and the 5 marshals had to be at their best to spot almost every elimination.

​

Mick Flaherty opened a significant lead and held it for most of the race then, with one lap to go there was some superb chasing down from Phil Hinchcliffe, Mark Mills and Stephen Knight which saw a dramatic finish.

Phil Hinchliffe managed to pip Mick right on the line to take victory with Mark Mills right behind. Stephen Knight was fourth and Louis Walker fifth.
